SINTA® F51

Synthetic fibre for concrete

Product Description

SINTA® F51 is a synthetic fibre for concrete, manufactured from 100% virgin polypropylene in a collated fibrillated form. Engineered specifically for use in concrete, it is alkali-resistant, non-absorptive and completely non-corrosive. Sinta F51 is 51mm in length.

Application

Sinta F51 is primarily used to improve the rheological properties of low slump concrete mixes used in the construction of extruded Jersey concrete barriers. Sinta F51 should not be used, however, as a replacement for any type of steel reinforcement in concrete structures such as extruded Jersey concrete barriers.

Compatibility with Other Admixtures

Sinta F51 is compatible with all admixtures from GCP Applied Technologies. Its action in concrete is purely mechanical and will not affect the hydration process. Each admixture should be added separately.

Advantages

Sinta F51 uniformly distribute throughout the concrete. The extremely high number of fibres in the plastic concrete matrix provides resistance to slumping during the extrusion process of the Jersey concrete barrier.

Packaging

Sinta F51 is available in convenient 0.9kg biodegradable bags which are added to the truck drum or central mixer. The specially designed cellulose fibre bags disintegrate and disperse the fibres throughout the mix.

Health and Safety

See Sinta F51 Material Safety Data Sheet or consult GCP Applied Technologies.
