Product Description

RAPID-DRAIN™ is a highly efficient geo-composite sub-soil drainage system comprising cuspated plastic sheet bonded to non-woven heavy-duty geotextile filter fabric.

Product Uses

RAPID-DRAIN™ is specifically designed for use with all GCP waterproof membranes including GCP BITUTHENE® or PREPRUFE® sheet membranes. It provides uninterrupted drainage to lift pits, basement retaining walls, bridge abutments, planter box walls or floors. RAPID-DRAIN™ is also used to collect and control water under landscaped podium decks, terraces or roofs.

Features

  • RAPID-DRAIN™ complies with Green Star requirements and has zero VOC rating.
  • Reduces hydrostatic water pressure build-up behind structures such as retaining walls, basements and foundations.
  • Reduces the potential for damage caused by movement and expansive soils.
  • Easy to install - has an over-locking edge profile to assist with stability of system.
  • The free draining structure and geo fabric layer prevents silt from clogging footing drainage lines, planter box floor outlets and landscaped deck outlet drains.
  • Will prevent flooding and deposition of soil and debris on surrounding paved surfaces.
  • Provided added benefits in facilitating the protective function of the waterproofing membrane system.

Preparation

Inspect waterproofing for damage and repair as required

Application

Install RAPID-DRAIN™ with geo fabric facing water inflow. Cut to suit profiles and over-lock side joints carefully.

  • On any vertical surfaces use pressure sensitive tape, other suitable adhesives or battens to hold RAPID-DRAIN™ in place.

Do not use pins or other mechanical fasteners that penetrate or damage any applied waterproof membrane.

Packaging

Available in 1.22m x 15.24m (18.6m2) rolls. Store upright in protected area.
