MIRA® MP 321

Multi-purpose water reducer

Product Description

MIRA® MP 321 is an aqueous solution of complex polycarboxylate polymers which contribute uniquely to concrete’s final properties of strength and durability. MIRA® MP 321 has been developed so that at various dose rates it can function as a water reducer (Type WR), mid-range water reducer (Type MWR) and high range water reducer (Type HWR).

MIRA® MP 321 is manufactured under rigid controls to ensure uniform and predictable performance. The specific gravity of MIRA® MP 321 is 1.05. MIRA® MP 321 contains no triethanolamine. MIRA® MP 321 can be used as a single admixture as a substitute for all other water reducing admixtures.

Addition Rates

MIRA® MP 321 has flexible dose rates:

  • As a water reducer, Type WR, dose rates of 300-500mL / 100kg total cementitious
  • As a mid- range water reducer, Type MWR, dose rates of 500- 800mL / 100kg total cementitious
  • As a high range water reducer, Type HWR, dose rates of 800- 1800mL / 100kg total cementious

Compatibility with other GCP admixtures

MIRA® MP 321 when used in combination with an air entrainer, with which it has a synergistic effect. It is recommended that preconstruction (lab and field) trials are undertaken to achieve the specified air content.

MIRA® MP 321 can be used in conjunction with all of GCP’s WRDA®, ADVA®, DARASET® retarders and ECLIPSE® admixture.

When using admixtures in the same concrete mix design, each admixture should be added separately to the mix.

MIRA® MP 321 cannot be used with DARACEM® 19A.

Dispensing Equipment

Please contact your local GCP representative for further information regarding the dispensing equipment for this product.

Packaging and Storage

MIRA® MP 321 is available in bulk, IBCs and 205L drums. MIRA® MP 321 contains no flammable ingredients. MIRA® MP 321 will freeze at 0￳C but will return to full functionality after thawing and thorough mechanical agitation.

Product Advantages

  • Neutral set, minimal set extension at higher dose rates
  • High level of cementitious dispersion leading to high compressive strengths
  • Reduced placement effort for concretes made at higher slumps
  • High workability
  • MIRA® MP 321 can be used in both premix and precast applications

Health and Safety

MIRA® MP 321 is a non-hazardous chemical admixture. Please refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet or consult GCP Applied Technologies.
