Product Description
DAREX® Grout Fluidifier is a ready to use dry powder admixture which, when added to a conventional cement/sand mix, produces a fluid water retentive grout.
Applications
DAREX Grout Fluidifier is added as a dry powder to conventional grouts to produce fluid, non-setting water retentive grout systems. Grouts normally used are based on cement/water, cement/sand/water, cement/fly ash/sand/water. These fluid grouts are used for grouting applications, including grouting duct work (both vertical and horizontal), grouting piling systems, post tension cables, anchor bolts, rock stabilisation and grouting of pre-placed aggregate.
Advantages
- Produces fluid grout at low water content.
- Water retentive to prevent premature stiffening.
- Extension of set to maintain fluidity.
Compatibility with Other Admixtures
DAREX Grout Fluidifier may be used in conjunction with other admixtures. Consult GCP technical department for recommendations.
Addition Rates
DAREX Grout Fluidifier is normally used at a dose rate in the range of 0.5% to 1.0% (solids/ cement). The rate for a given application depends on such factors as type and brand of cement, grout mix design, ambient temperature, setting extension required.
Specification Compliance
DAREX Grout Fluidifier is formulated to comply with AS 2159 Piling Code.
Packaging
DAREX Grout Fluidifier is packed in 5 kg multi-wall paper bags.
Estimating Data
Allow 1 kg DAREX Grout Fluidifier per 100 kg cement. For a normal 25 MPa cement/sand/ grout which would be approximately 520 kg cement/1,200 kg sand per cubic metre, allow 5 kg DAREX Grout Fluidifier.
