UV Resistant Clear Protective Coating

Product Product Description

A tough, ready to use clear, non-yellowing, aliphatic polyurethane coating which protects and waterproofs internal or external concrete or masonry surfaces.

Uses

ULTRAURE™ HD Clear can be applied to brick, block, concrete, pre- cast panels, paving and stone including – coloured or plain concrete driveways, floors and panels; exposed aggregate, slate or dense stone paving; plant room floors.

Also used as durable surface sealer to decorative flake-finish deck systems.

    Preparation

    Surfaces must be sound, dry and free from dust, loose matter, oil, grease or other contaminants. Consider diamond grinding to obtain an appropriate substrate finish.

    NOTE: Beware of rising damp in concrete or moisture penetration through cracks or construction joints.

    Application

    Do not thin - apply uniformly using a roller, brush or spray. A non-slip surface may be achieved by the use of:

    • Non-Slip Aggregate @ approx 0.4kg/m²
    • Glass beads @ 90m²/kg - Typical COF 0.54
    • Fine sand @ 2kg/m² - Typical COF 0.63

    Regular maintenance (2-5 years) is recommended. Clean surface, sand and wipe with MULTITEK™ Xylene. Apply a further 1 - 2 coats as required.

    Coverage

    Flake Floors – 3 coats @ 4m2/litre/ coat

    Concrete Floors – 2-3 coats @ 6m2/litre/ coat

    Walls (concrete or masonry) – 2 coats @ 8m2/litre/ coat

    Packaging

    ULTRAURE™ HD Clear is packed in 20 litre pails.

    Storage

    Store unopened containers in a cool dry place. Once opened, material will become unusable within a few days.

    Shelf Life

    Unopened containers have 12-month shelf life from date of manufacture, when stored in a dry, cool place.

    Precautions

    Liquid is flammable. Keep away from open flame and use only in well-ventilated areas. Consult MSDS before use, use PPE as required. Fumes may contaminate foodstuffs.

    Clean-up

    Remove any uncured ULTRAURE™ HD Clear with MULTITEK™ Xylene. Exercise care when using solvents.
