Product Description

MULTITEK™ XYLENE is provided in a single grade: Xylene (Xylol). It is a high quality aromatic hydrocarbon based solvent with low level impurities.

Product Uses

MULTITEK™ XYLENE is used for a variety of functions in association with GCP waterproofing materials, sealants and adhesives including:

  • A compatible diluent for solvent based primers, membranes, coatings and adhesives
  • A cleaner for suitable substrates prior to installation of primers, membranes, coatings, adhesives and sealants.
  • An equipment cleaner for various GCP materials and equipment associated with their use

Application Guidelines

Use MULTITEK™ XYLENE as and where required in the appropriate GCP product data sheets.

  • When used as a diluents, use only the specified amount - do not over-thin products.
  • When used as a surface cleaner, ensure that substrate is resistant to solvent. Try a small testpatch if there is any doubt.
  • Use fully in accordance with product MSDS provisions.

Storage

Store unopened containers in a cool dry place. Keep away from any fire hazards or ignition sources. Exercise care when handling and review all MSDS before storage or use.

Packaging

MULTITEK™ XYLENE is packed in 20 litre metal pails and 200 litre drums.

Health and Safety

In case of spills and accidents, refer to the MSDS of the products or when in doubt contact your local GCP representative. Always wear protective clothing, gloves and protective goggles when handling chemical products. For full information, consult the relevant MSDS.

Product Risk

MULTITEK™ XYLENE is flammable.

Exercise all due care in handling and ensure there is no open flame or ignition source nearby.

Use PPE as required.

Warranties
