MULTITEK™ PUMP STORE

Final Flush & Storage Fluid for PU Dispense Equipment

Product Description

Special purpose, non-flammable, phthalate free, ASE (alkylsulphonicphenylester) storage fluid for polyurethane/polyurea dispense equipment. MULTITEK™ PUMP STORE has excellent solubility and compatibility with most polyurethane and polyurea machinery and provides protection to equipment components.

Product Uses

MULTITEK™ PUMP STORE is suitable as an effective fluid for storing fully flushed and cleaned polyurethane dispense and spray equipment. It should only be used after machine flushing using MULTITEK™ PUMP STORE prior to placing equipment into storage between application projects.

It provides lubrication and protection to dispense equipment internals, hoses, seals, and impingement mix spray guns dispense heads etc. and also offers corrosion protection to metals in wellsealed dispense equipment systems.

Features

MULTITEK™ PUMP STORE is a non-toxic, non-hazardous solvent flushing material containing no harmful phthalate based compounds. It is designed as a safe effective replacement for traditional flushing fluids such as DOP and other phthalate plasticisers

  • Simple, effective use for equipment flushing
  • Quality equipment storage fluid
  • Will not damage O-rings, seals or seats
  • Offers mild lubrication to pump components
  • Non-hazardous and non-dangerous goods
  • Non-flammable
  • Non-corrosive toward most metals

Application Guidelines

This product is designed for use at ambient temperatures. Dispense equipment heaters are not required during flushing operations.

Use only clean, dry MULTITEK™ PUMP STORE that has been stored in a well-sealed container.

Place transfer pumps into pails of MULTITEK™ PUMP STORE or add MULTITEK™ PUMP STORE to emptied dispense machinery component tanks.

Recirculate MULTITEK™ PUMP STORE through the machinery system and fully flush material lines and dispense head/spray gun until clean Multitek PUMP STORE emerges Important – Never allow polyol contaminated MULTITEK™ PUMP STORE to be used for flushing the isocyanate side of dispense machinery, or vice versa. Cross-contamination will result in polyol-isocyanate reaction and can cause blockage of hoses, pumps and dispense heads or spray guns.

After full flushing is complete, repeat the flushing process using clean, dry MULTITEK™ PUMP STORE. MULTITEK™ PUMP STORE may remain in the equipment for long periods of time – up to 3-6 months. If longer term equipment storage is required, repeat the flushing process after 3-6 months using new MULTITEK™ PUMP STORE.

Clean up

Clean up liquid leakage or spills using rags or other absorbent material. Final cleaning can be achieved using solvents such as MULTITEK™ XYLENE, MEK or acetone or using warm soapy water.
