Product Description

CHEMSIL™ ZT300 is a clear, hydrophobic and oil resistant (oleophobic) siloxane/alkylalkoxysilane liquid that deeply penetrates to protect and preserve concrete/masonry surface. CHEMSIL™ ZT300 does this by condensing deep within the substrate. The dry CHEMSIL™ ZT300 application is completely invisible.

Product Uses

CHEMSIL™ ZT300 is used for all porous cementitious or natural mineral surfaces to internal or external walls, floors and paving including: concrete, brick, masonry, slate, terracotta, unglazed tile, sandstone etc., water and oil resistant.

  • Oil resistant sealer to BBQ areas
  • Anti-blooming sealer to walls and paving
  • Anti-carbonation coating for exterior façades, walls, etc.
  • Anti-fungal sealer to exterior porous paving
  • Water-repellent sealer to single skin tilt-panel, brick and block

Note: Maximum waterproofing effect may take up to 8 days.

Preparation

Surfaces must be clean, dry and free from contaminants. Repair all cracks and defects. Cure concrete 28 days and render 7 days. Protect glass from contact with product.

Application

Use low-pressure spray, soft bristled broom, roller or brush, to fully saturate the surface.

Vertical

Apply CHEMSIL™ ZT300 at the top until it begins to run down wall and maintain this “wet flow” until surface is totally saturated.

Horizontal

Flood floors and decks uniformly to saturate surface. Move any surplus liquid to adjacent untreated area by squeegee - remove any residues with warm soapy water and a cloth.

NOTE:

Chemsil produces a hydrophobic (water repelling) surface. Test adhesion of any coatings, adhesives, etc before use. Do not use to seal cracks or as a tanking membrane. For specific advice regarding application or use please contact your local GCP representative.

Coverage

Total application rate is 2 - 4m2/litre. Usage will vary significantly depending on porosity and texture of surface. Highly porous surfaces may require up to 1 litre/m2.

Packaging

CHEMSIL™ ZT300 is packed in 20L pails.

Clean up

Use soapy warm water to clean equipment or overspray.

Shelf Life

Sealed containers stored in a clean, dry place have a shelf life of 12 months from date of manufacture.
