Preparation

Surfaces must be sound, smooth, dry and free from dust, loose matter, oil, grease or other contaminants. Make good all surface defects.

Smooth concrete surfaces should be mechanically prepared by grinding, track blasted or scabbling. Concrete should be cured for a minimum of 28 days and have a moisture content of 5% or less. Moisture testing of concrete prior to installation is recommended.

Resurfacing of old epoxy floors or re-coating of CHEMFLOOR™ FK200 after several days cure will require thorough mechanical abrasion of the surface to ensure good adhesion.

Application

Mixing

Measure CHEMFLOOR™ Part A and Part B accurately by volume into a clean container and mix thoroughly with an electric stirrer (600 rpm). Allow to stand for 5 minutes before use. The preferred material mixing and application temperature is 15°C-20°C.

Roll-On Flooring

Apply 2 coats CHEMFLOOR™ FK200 at 4 – 6m²/litre per coat. Total coverage can vary depending on desired DFT. Broadcast silica sand into first coat of wet CHEMFLOOR™ FK200 to give required slip resistant finish. Mesh size of sand can increase quantity of CHEMFLOOR™ needed to achieve desired finish.

Damp or “green” Concrete

Use EPOCOTE™ F100W Clear 6m2/litre on minimum 3 day cure or damp concrete surfaces.

Colours

CHEMFLOOR™ Clear or Neutral grades can be readily coloured by the addition of epoxy pigments. Do NOT use polyester pigments. Check with your GCP Representative if not using a GCP colour pack.

NOTE:

  • High atmospheric humidity or severe drop in temperature may result in changes to the surface appearance.
  • Ensure adequate ventilation of work area and use protective equipment as detailed in product MSDS.

Packaging

CHEMFLOOR™ FK200 packed in 16 lit sets comprising Part A 12 litres and Part B 4 litres.

Shelf Life

Unopened containers have 12-month shelf life from date of manufacture, when stored in a dry, cool place.

Clean-up

Remove any uncured CHEMFLOOR™ with MULTITEK™ Xylene. Exercise care when using solvents. Please review MSDS before use.
