CHEMFLOOR™ 100 is a specially formulated low viscosity, two-component epoxy resin system used as a coating or primer to facilitate adhesion of all CHEMFLOOR™ systems to most substrates. It is also used as:

  • A chemically resistant, hardwearing clear surface sealer to floors, plant rooms and storage areas.
  • A total vapour barrier on concrete floors to prevent moisture vapour damage to timber or sheet vinyl floor finishes.
  • A binder used to produce an epoxy mortar made by addition of clean dry aggregates or fillers and used for the repair of defective substrates.

Product Uses

CHEMFLOOR™ 100 epoxy system is ideal for flooring applications to showrooms, basement car-parks, plant rooms, factories, workshops and in pharmaceutical and food processing, water or sewage treatment, etc. It is also used as a multi-purpose binder and surface adhesion promoter.

Preparation

Surfaces must be sound, smooth, and free from dust, oil, grease or other contaminants. Grind or chip off from the concrete surfaces all projections greater than 1.5mm. Remove any loose concrete, then clean and fill holes, cracks and other surface defects with GCP's Super-bond paste or other GCP approved products.

Non-porous, dense concrete should be mechanically abraded.

Concrete should be cured for minimum 28 days and have a moisture content of 5% or less. Moisture testing of concrete prior to installation is recommended

Application

Measure components carefully and mix totally with an electric stirrer. Allow to stand 5 min before use. Preferred mixing and application temp is 15°C-20°C. Apply in two coats by roller or brush. Total coverage should be approximately 0.2-0.3 litres/m2.

Packaging

CHEMFLOOR™ 100 is packed, Part A in 20 litre pails and Part B in 10 litre pails.
